After
their split CD with The Ruined earlier this year '06:06:06'
is the first single release by the new incarnation of
The Destructors. Just the two tracks here 'Fast
Forward To Hell' and 'The Neighbour Of The
Beast'. If you were a fan of The Destructors of
old then it's roll back the years because they have
carried on where they left off after their their last
release all those years ago. Both these songs are good
and although the band have changed their name to Destructors666
it's business as usual because their style hasn't changed.
It's good to see a great band back releasing quality
old school songs after so long away.

'Total
Punk Rock' is on the Calcaza Records label, a label
which is striving to give unsigned bands a leg up. This
kind of album definitely gets my vote. All the bands on
this CD are unsigned and I don't think it will be long
before some of them get signed up. Let's hope the bands
who get signed up do remember who gave them a chance.
This is a quality CD, well produced and the bands are
very diverse. There's something on here for everyone.
Don't be put off just because you haven't heard of some
of the bands, I certainly wasn't. If you really are a
true punk fan then this 25 track CD which is only £6
(Post included) is a great buy. Some of the bands showcased
are Guns On The Roof, Psychic Volts, Junkster, W.O.R.M.,
Battleska Galactica, The Bloody Irish Boys, Griswalds,
The Modes and Bazooka Joe.

'Spit
& Sawdust Tour 06' CD contains 22 of the bands
that are playing on the 'Spit & Sawdust' tour which
runs from 20th May to 9th july this year. The tour which
is the brainchild of Fungal Punk OMD and Noize Anoize
Records is about getting back to the real ethos of punk.
On the tour all bands are considered equal. No prima donnas
here, which is how it should be. Fuck the known bands
with their big paydays this is real punk.
This is an excellent CD and you might not have heard of
some of the bands but I can assure you they are all good
bands. I'm a supporter of this kind of stuff because it
is what punk should really be about, not just the nostalgia
that so many punks are always on about. Some of the bands
featured on the CD are AFS, Suspicious Stains, Boredom,
Crouch Mog, Lowlife UK, Churchill, The Guilty Pleasures,
Headclinic and Middle Finger Salute. We need new bands
coming through to keep the punk scene healthy in the future.
These bands are the future.

This
is the first thing I have heard by One Day Life who hail
from South-East England. 'Friends In Name Only'
is a 4 track E.P. that has a definite slant towards the
American pop punk market but it's still a pretty good
CD. One Day Life's music is fast with catchy singalong
choruses. I myself think bands that try to imitate the
U.S. punk scene are really after making it over there
where the real money is. Saddly how many make it over
there? These guys are only young and if they keep plugging
away with songs as good as the ones on this CD then there
is a chance that the American dream might just become
reality.
The
track listing is 'Four Hundred Feet', 'Brand
New Enemy', 'A Life Half Lived', 'Mistakes
And Memories'.
