Yet another two more releases Destructors 666. The first is 'Labor Omnia Vincit', an 8 track split CD with Eastfield. Eastfield's music is always lively and the first three tracks 'Money', 'Jumping Under Someone Else's Train' and 'Shake It Up' have the instantly recogniseable sound that the band has honed over many years. Excellent. Unfortunately the final track by them, a reworked cover of 'Glad To Be Gay' lacks the speed and energy i've always associated with Eastfield.
Destructors 666's four tracks (One secret track) are as with previous releases a mixture of punk, metal and rock. 'Duty Unto Death' and 'No Escape' are both a blend of melodic punk and rock and both decent songs but 'Warhol Wilson' I didn't like because it is too slow, long and bland. Best track I thought was the unnamed secret track which is more punky than the rest.

The second CD 'Lex Talionis' is split between Destructors 666 and Dirty Love. If you are a fan of Vice Squad there is a good chance you'll like London's Dirty Love as there are similarities, the main one being Lizzi's vocals. They contribute three reasonable songs, nothing spectacular with 'Blow My Mind' being the best of the three. I personally found the three tracks to be too similar with nothing that leapt out at me.
As for Destructors 666 there are four tracks, one a secret track. This is basically more of what I have come to expect from this very prolific band. If you have any of their previous material you won't go far wrong with this. As usual their songs are a blend of punk and rock with 'Agent Orange' being my favourite track. With their releases coming thick and fast I think an album comprising songs from previous EPs is a good idea.

This is the first release from The Kirkz for a considerable length of time. 'Panic Earth' is a 3 tracker on Slit records that hopefully gives us a glimpse of what we might expect on any album that is forthcoming. The title track is first and it kicks the CD off with a bang. Ranting vocals sandwiched between great guitar riffs. 'Panic Earth' is in my humble opinion the best track of the three and is an excellent demonstration of the band at their best. The other two tracks 'Zombie Nation' and 'The Revenge' follow a similar route and are both decent efforts. The Kirkz seem to be going down more of a hardcore route with this CD but with songs like this it's a good route for them to take. If you like your music as fast as a cheetah on amphetamines you won't go far wrong.

This 12 tracker is an amalgamation of some of the previous releases by The Red Eyes and can only be picked up from the band themselves at gigs.
It is simply the dog's bollocks, a great CD and after seeing the The Red Eyes for the first time live earlier this year at the SAS 3 Dayer i've definitely become a fan of their music. This tuneful Glasgow band's music is punk but very melodic with nothing too heavy and I couldn't say of the 12 tracks there was one I didn't like. 'Norah Louise Kuzma' kicks the CD off in style and even though it's very hard to pick favourites but i'd say the superb 'I Can't Get' just pips 'Something In The Way' for best song off a top notch CD. Definitely a band i'll be hoping to see again live and i'll be after their entire back catalogue.
